	Krys worked as an illustrator before taking time out for a family and then becoming a teacher of art at Stamford, Lincs, as well as developing her own work.
	She has always preferred to paint and draw animals, enjoying their colour, movement, and freedom. One recurrent theme is the Hare, a mystical creature because of its secretive habits, yet lithe, sinuous, and fast. Sometimes the Hare becomes the Spirit of Freedom. Sometimes the mysterious Knowledge Bearer. Krys also enjoys drawing the landscape as well as delving into her own imagination, and is happy to discuss commissions
