| R.A Summer Exhibition |

| |
| Coach leaves Oakham, behind Wilkinson's, at 09.00. It picks up in Stamford (Bus Station) at 09.30. Returns from the R.A. at 18.00. Should arrive Stamford about 20.00 and then drop off in Oakham. Keeping the cost at £10 per person again this year. There's a pre-Raphaelite showing at the R.A. at the same time (John William Waterhouse: did a well-known "Lady of Shallot", but his leeks would win no prizes. Also could knock off a pretty tasty mermaid in his time, if you get my drift, but he sometimes had to trawl for them, rather than use his drift-net!). For those members not sadly stuck in the past there's a Futurist exhibition at Tate Modern and the B.P. Portrait Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Something for everyone!

| Every Friday throughout next summer 2008.Red Lion Square will be open to artists to exhibit their work for free between 10a.m. and 3 p.m. In the event of inclement weather the exhibition will be held in St. Johns Church, just across the road from Red Lion Square. |
